The value of a photo is in the amount of likes it receives, and its life time defined by a finger that is simply scrolling through. We take hundreds of photos hoping to capture one that's worthy enough of receiving society's approval on different social media platforms, wishing to get the sufficient likes to make our lives, our bodies and experiences valuable enough. This photo essay is a satire of everything we do to get “the perfect photo” just to share it on social media platforms. It aims to raise awareness about the efforts we as individuals do in order to pretend to be what we are not, and to have what we do not have; all with the sole purpose of receiving society's temporary and shallow approval.
